According to a source in the Vikings organization, they have increased their trade offer for Jared Allen to 1st and 3rd round picks in 2008 and a 2nd round pick in 2009.

They're starting to bend.....

Actually, the Vikings schedule looks to be sort of a tough one. A 2nd next year might be a good thing.

It's not two 1st but If we are gonna let Allen go then that's not a bad deal. We'll have so many picks in the 2008 and 2009 drafts that we should have several trade up options if we desire a certain player. We could end up with the first pick in this years draft by trading with the Dolphins even. We could trade the 17th overall and a combination of 2nd and 3rd rounders. We could actually end up with two elite players from this draft. J Long and Dorsey or Long and Long or J Long and Ryan. Or we can make our picks and be in a position to trade up in next years draft. It would be nice to have draft day options for a change.
