I'm thinking of making a sign but i need some help. If there is anyone thats good at photoshop i have an idea. The cover of the movie "JUICE" featuring Omar Epps and Tupac has Omar in a hoodie and Tupac in the background. If anyone can place Barry's mug in Omars place I'll have it blown up in the AM and take it to the game. I'd love to do this so lets see what kind of talent you guys have in the photo shop. I'll be sitting in right field while he's batting but i'll take it to left when the giants are on the field. Thanks in advance

No one is doubting Bonds hand-eye coordination, but if you honestly think that steroids did not help him, your head is in the sand.

Bonds hit over 45 HR's ONCE before the juice.

In the 5 years following, he AVERAGED almost 52 a season.

Steroids has helped his power, and has allowed him to work out harder and more often.

It could be argued that without steroids, he may not even be still playing at this age.

Just curious, what pitchers are involved in this steroids investigation?

I find it interesting that myself and others are accused of "assuming" Bonds did steroids because he never failed a drug test......

Yet there are tons of "assumptions" that every OTHER professional athlete is taking them......

In considering a record in which the entire purpose is to be able to hit further than your peers, I think there is a big difference. If he wasn't juiced, many of those HRs would have been an out at the warning track instead of bringing him closer to breaking a record set by someone who managed to do it without the help that Bonds had.

What if Aaron would have been on the juice? Maybe the record would have been much higher.

I have respect for Bonds as an athlete. And I would have considered him a timeless part of the game, had he not knowingly cheated. And he did knowingly cheat, whether he admits to it or not. You don't increase your shoe size by 3 sizes without realizing you're taking something. My disappointment lies with the fact that he could have been one of the greats without ever touching the stuff. Instead he ruined his own image and tarnished the HR record.

You have a hatred of Bonds, fine. But until it's proven otherwise, Barry Bonds has not been found guilty of using steroids. Additionally, steriods weren't even banned in MLB until after the 2003 season.

What we DO know:

Jason Grimsley took steriods.

Jason Giambi took steriods.

Mark McGuire was at least taking creatine

Raphael Palmeiro tested positive for steroids.

Barry Bonds has never tested positive for steriods

The Game of baseball has been a mess for 90 years. Babe Ruth and others didn't face the best pitchers of their day due to discrimination. Players have been taking "Bennies" in the clubhouse forever. The 1986 Mets were the most coked-out team in MLB history. Steroid use grew to enormous proportions in the 90's.

Clean up all the players and managers. Until that happens, EVERYTHING is suspect. And do you know what happens with everything is suspect? Nothing is suspect.

It's a level playing field.

You guys mentioning creatine in the same sentence as gear kill me. Ha, ha. Like someone said, the pitchers have been all jacked up too. As far as Bonds being a jerk, who cares? It really just makes him more of an interesting character. All these guys that hate him are still taking up their own time posting about him. Hank Aaron is being a dick IMO by not wanting to be there, and all that. Does he have solid ground to stand on? Perhaps he does, but he could let it go. Those older guys are bitter about money as much as anything. I don't think that Hank faced as many quality pitchers (who may have been "cheating" themselves) as Barry. More relievers as specialists, etc. As I said before NFL fans that bitch about steroids in other sports kill me. One thing about Bonds that I really admire is that he takes all the walk crap so well. He would already be over 3000 hits, and possibly have 50+ more home runs if he just got pitched to 20% more of the time. He has a terrible lineup this year, why pitch to him? Yet, he is patient, and hits really well when he gets the chance. Yeah, he took some gear. It would be kind of dumb of him to unknowingly use stuff. I have never bought that one. What I would like to know is, how many HR's did Hank Aaron hit after the 7th innning? You know, when he didnt have to face the set-up man for the set-up man, for the set up man for the closer....

I dont like Barry either, however, athletes from every era have something that gives them an edge. Our era apparently is HGH, Steriods, Creatine etc...

I'm not sure what other advantage Hammering Hank had in his playing days, but facing really tired pitchers in the 8th inning I would have to beleive would be one of them.

The "everybody does it, you can't catch them all, so why prosecute this one guy" defense is total BS. Some thieves get away with thieving. We still prosecute the ones that get caught. And simply because some got away with it, doesn't mean that others should get a free pass.

You and others continue to say the roids didn't help him... Well why do you think he took them when he knew what would happen if people found out? Why risk that much if it didn't help? The only reason he took roids was to be stronger and hit further. You think he enjoys shrinking nuts and a swelling forehead?

Also, people are walking him because they have more respect for the HR record than they do for Bonds. You can kid yourself all you want, but they don't have any respect for him either....

Some legend.... afraid to break the record away from home to avoid the boos....

And I'll say it again...I dont care if he took steroids or not...the guy doesnt respect the game...he's a multi-millionaire who gets paid to do what 90% of american males would give their left nut to do....but yet, he's sad...he's mistreated....he's unhappy.....

One thing not mentioned......Maybe even more than the steroids issue, I think his robocop-style elbow protector helps his statistics. Easy to hang in on pitches when your inside arm is protected top to bottom...

You're going to see that type of equipment banned sooner or later.

There are dozens of players who were implicated in the Balco scandal who've gone quietly since that story broke.

His hits and runs scored numbers are almost identical to Bonds, even with being short in games and AB's.

Oh yeah, and the Babe pitched to a 67% winning percentage over 10 years. And won 7 WS titles.

Barry Bonds may be the greatest hitter of the modern era.
