Alex Smith is "the best in the league"

BY RANDY COVITZ
The Kansas City Star

There’s little question any success the Chiefs have this season hinges on how well quarterback Alex Smith performs.

The Chiefs paid a hefty price in acquiring Smith from San Francisco for a second-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft and a conditional second- or third-round pick in 2014.

Smith led San Francisco to the NFC championship game in 2011 and started the first nine games of the 49ers’ Super Bowl run a year ago, and Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson believes strongly in Smith.

“Ultimately, every team has to have a quarterback,” Pederson said. “I think we have the best in the league.”

The best? Better than Peyton Manning … Tom Brady … Drew Brees … Joe Flacco … Matt Ryan … Eli Manning … Colin Kaepernick … ?

“There are a lot of great ones,” Pederson said, “but over time, Alex has proven he can get it done. He’s a sharp guy, he brings a wealth of knowledge, he’s experienced, he’s a proven winner the last couple of years, and he needs a team to embrace him.”

Oh, trust me, that debate is still going on.......Just take my word for it. Just ask Kaepernick........Now, Kaepernick, go ahead,, tell everyone I must have an account over there like you normally do, I don't, but I do talk to people on face book and twitter there. There are still threads that get some of the most action dedicated to Alex Smith.......TRUST ME.....

If the forum search was worth a damn I would quote it, but the forum search isn't worth a damn.

Snoopy renounced his 49er fandom. Look at his Sig.

Yup. Renounced. Sure did. Was pissed the hell off that I couldn't make a single positive statement about Alex Smith without turds like you, pissing all over me for it. Its easy to hate Kaepernick when all you slobber tards drool all over him. All the time. Never gave any credit to alex smith. Blamed him for everything. Kaep can do no wrong. Nikkina49 on twitter told me you guys had a full blown meltdown about the hat on there that turned into an Alex Vs Kaep thing. YOu couldn't as an Alex Supporter, say anything positive about the guy without getting trashed by all of you turds. Im glad to be gone. Glad that I don't have to hear 49er fans all the time. I don't have them in my sig, because I don't want to hear the bullshit. Ill still watch the games and pull for my team, and you don't get to tell me who I like, and what I can do, so get the ****, out my face........

No mention of the 49ers whatsoever. SF Giants yes, SF 49ers no. Snoopy is NOT a 49ers fan. Probably never was a 49ers fan, just an Alex Smith fan.
I do find it cute, that despite me being gone from the 49ers forum for so long, you are soooo caught up on me. You even still call me snoopy. But dude, seriously, im married, so uh, back off. I know how you NOCal boys get down. Niner fan yes, but I live in the Midwest......We like our mates with out a wang.....

By the way, im still waiting on my apology. You being such a manly man and all. You put me on blast about being married, about being in the military. All which I dispelled on here. Any time now pumpkin.........
