Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

I don't care what people say. The NFL is a players league. Hell, every league is. It's all about Brady. He's that good. IMO, he's top 3 ALL TIME. And the people that don't think so will really appreciate and see his greatness when he retires. Bill Belichick, as well as every other coach, is overrated. Even they will tell you that. It's all about the players. Jim Caldwell, Bill Belichick and Tony Dungy all click Like.

Belichick built an elite defense in both Cleveland and in New England, and would have built a winner if not for the massive distractions in his last year as coach. In New England, the team early on wasn't just Brady. It was an outstanding team throughout.

In Belichick's years, he played a much more active role than most coaches in personnel and even coordinating decisions. Most importantly, he's one of the few coaches with the smarts to adjust his game even if that means scrapping old philosophies. Let's also not forget that he won 11 games with Matt ****ing Cassel as his QB.

This is absurd that people will discredit him but CP is "Overreaction Planet" sometimes. I hate him, the Patriots, and the Patriot Way. But he is one hell of a coach and easily one of the best of all time. And I assure you that when Brady retires, as long as Belichick gets a good QB (doesn't have to be Brady-esque), his team will still be a winner.

Head coaching isn't overrated. I don't think I have to point to the stark difference in the Chiefs behind the same players under the Haley years and Romeo's 2012 season. Or the difference between Jim Harbaugh's team and Mike Singletary's.
