Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Chrome is easier to clean & will give you a lil longer barrel life. If you live to be 200 years old this might come into effect. Some say the chrome ones are not as accurate. 1/7 twist will shoot heavier bullets & IMO the best twist rate for long distance shooting in the AR platform. Heavy target barrel will be able to shoot more rounds with out heat compromising accuracy also takes longer to cool down.

Bids for 500 rnds of 223 are going as high as 1k rnds did before the shooting/obama on gunbroker.

1k rnds of federal was $705.

Thoughts?
FMJ for plnkin is fine, but for any serious self-defense rounds FMJ will not do, I use a combination but anything that is an aggresive hollow-point ( I ****ing hate using that term) look into Winchester Ranger, Federal's HST or equivelent, or some of the premiums like BlackHills, Hornady, etc.

you want an expanding round marketed toward self-defense/law enforcement, preferably in the 180gr range although some of the lighter loads can work as well.

My XD9 is my favorite pistol I own. You'll be happy with it.
