Jury Duty tomorrow...just looked at the paper online
http://www.kansas.com/news/story/770158.html
When Katie Cornejo goes on trial Monday accused of murdering her 2-year-old stepdaughter, Daytona Robertson, her defense attorney will point the finger at others: Daytona's father, Tommy Robertson; Daytona's mother, Natasha Paul; Daytona's day care provider, Jessica Cummings, and possibly others. All of them were around Daytona within 24 hours of the time she went to the hospital in February 2008, and any of them could have caused the injury from which she died, defense attorney Alice Osburn told Judge Clark Owens on Friday at a hearing that gave a detailed preview of the trial. But the lead prosecutor, Justin Edwards, said the evidence points to Cornejo. He said one medical expert will testify that Daytona's injury came from severe head trauma. And another will testify that "this is a violent act," Edwards said. ________________ I do not know what trials I will be in the jury pool for...but I HOPE it is not this one. Maybe the fact that the trial is starting tomorrow means the jury for this one has already been picked. I don't mind the process, it is actually kind of cool to give back to the community...I just hope it isn't some horrible murder or something gang related. So, you have jury duty tomorrow, for this case, and you're actively seeking media news on the case?

I actually don't mind it.
I did it once before about 7 years ago. I just don't want it to be something like this or something gang related |

Heh. Reminds me of those commercials they had a while back where people were trying creative ways to get out of jury duty. I vaguely remember one where a guy dressed up like Attila the Hun or something and mentioned that he was for the death penalty.
