Alden wish show us!!! He's going to keep Haith.. He'll say it's about loyalty and such shit. And he'll dig essentially be digging an even deeper hope for the next victim to try and get out of. Recruiting is going to be just flat-out funny, and there's no way Haith can coach a bunch of average high school players to many wins in the SEC.

MIZZOU basketball might very well be doomed for a decade at least, if not decades. Who would want to come play or coach this pile of shit?

MIZZOU's only way out of this, make some great coach an all-time high salary offer so they can bring their reputation. It's a start at least... Short of that, this nose dive will result in a fiery crash!

Haith puts the crap in the crap shoot.

We better hope Pinkels tenure somehow outlasts Alden's because I don't trust him with the next football hire. He lost what little credibility he had left when he hired Carlton Banks.

I'll certainly blame Alden to an extent, but Suitcase really put us over a barrel, too. Ultimately, he always picks the wrong coach. He chose Quin over Self and Haith over anyone else.

Gregg Marshall wasn't Gregg Marshall yet, but it's Alden's job to see that progress. He needs to be able to identify guys like Cuonzo, who, incidentally, has recruited better than the all-hat-no-cattle Haith.

When this team goes 14-18 next year, a bunch of dipshits are still going to say you can't fire a guy after four years when he's won over 80 games. Truth is, every situation is unique, and anyone who says "You'll never get anyone else in here" is completely full of shit. If you pay good money they'll come here.

If we fired Haith today, all we'd have to do is show a candidate the tape of the last two Missouri teams. Firing Haith has nothing to do with impatience and everything to do with incompetence. He's Herm Edwards without charisma. He has the ethics of Jerry Tarkanian and the coaching ability of Gerry Faust.

I don't disagree with anything you said (though I think we undersell how much Mike Alden handicaps the job anyway, so firing a coach quickly might actually be problematic), except for praising the recruiting Cuonzo Martin has done.

Martin has actually been an incredibly bad recruiter (only has signed one impact recruit, Robert Hubbs, who was not doing much despite 5-star status before being injured. His 2014 class is awful.

Cuonzo is living almost entirely on inherited players (Jordan McRae, Jeronn Maymon and Josh Richardson) and a transfer (Antonio Barton). He got lucky with in-stater Jarnell Stokes' situation (high school eligibility issues, went early to college).

That team loses a ton of talent after this year (Barton, McRae, Maymonn and Stokes will all be gone).

Cuonzo Martin was not a "miss" by Alden, by any means.

You may well be right, but if we apply the same caveats to Haith, who are his non-transfer recruits? J3, who looks more like an energy guy, the disappointing Wes Clark, and a lot of hot garbage either out of the program or worthless.

MU should hire Ben Howland.

I think he's talking to Marquette right now.
