Roku Box?
I'd like for my boys to be able to get the free Amazon movies and tv shows but their TVs don't support the Amazon feed. The Roku 2XD is listed as a compatible device. Anyone here have any experience with a Roku box? If so, what do you use it for? I'm trying to figure out if there is $80 worth of functionality in these things.

It's the principle of the thing. I jailbroke the first iPhone without issue and gain root on a regular basis...just with Metasploit. There's also the issue of this being a "production machine" around the house...meaning the wife uses it.

It's not really Icefilms, it's Megauplaod. They've been having lots of issues lately. Working great for me now.

You can check the last few pages of this thread for updates on issues with Icefilms. It will always tell you what's up.

interesting. does it encrypt the traffic to avoid throttling from the ISP? Does it require a MU account?

We have a Roku in our basement as a Netflix machine primarily. It works great for that, but I honestly can't speak much for any of the other apps. They do seem to do a good job of releasing new apps when new tech comes around, though.

Seasonpass is free, but aTV(Black) is $30 if you buy it from them.

That AppleTVHacks website is brutal. I was researching this the other day and got stuck in this endless loop of linkwhoring between similar sites. How about linking to the original content sources once every 10 pages or so?
