The more I think about this the less I like it.

One of my personal crusades is about how men still basically dominate politics and the corporate world, and how little progress we've actually made in broadening gender roles.

But this...this is recasting a classic movie with all women for no real reason. It comes off like a cheap gimmick, and I think it's as sexist as anything. They're not making a social statement. If they think they are, in reality they're making the wrong one.

If you've absolutely GOT to remake Ghostbusters, make it a team of mixed men and women, make them all competent in their own quirky way, and don't make them all pair up romantically, because, you know, it's possible for men and women to actually work together. In other words, re-make Ghostbusters. Hell I might even be able to stomach Melissa McCarthy in a movie like that. Just don't turn it into a bad parody of itself and please, please, please don't gang rape my childhood the way they're apparently going to. This smells of jar jar binks.

I didn't realize we got married the same year. You guys were better at it than I.

I've never played the game before, so I'm not sure how the casting relates to their corresponding players, but I'm a huge fan of Duncan Jones. Ramin will provide his usual solid but not spectacular score but I'm kind of "meh" on writer Charles Leavitt. I've never been a fan of his work and thought that K-Pax was awful.

Hopefully, Jones' direction and vision will more than make up for any of my pee-concieved notions about the script.

Interesting. From what i've read, Leavitt wrote it, but when Duncan was hired he came in and essentially re-wrote it. And while i've played the game, i have no idea about the cast. I've heard good things about their ability though.

Im a high-fantasy nerd. I love Lord of the Rings fantasy CGI stuff, so the fact that they're finally making one for my favorite game has my nerd boner raging with excitement.

Hopefully it's not shit, but early impressions from a small Comic-con trailer has people buzzing about some outstanding CGI.

Oh, that's great news then! He's a very talented filmmaker.

Legendary has produced some very good movies in the past decade so I'm sure it's in good hands.

It's all good. Took a couple of years but I've been over it for a long time now. Getting the rest of my life in order has been a bit more of a challenge.

I don't know, I've never met her (I've met him) but I just never got the "she'd be really cool to hang out with" vibe from her. I've always gotten the "She's a freaking psycho" vibe.

Let me rephrase. I like the look of her. And I dig crazy.
