Was just messing around on PSN and found the Driveclub PSN+ edition up for grabs now.

From what I've seen, if you like pvp fighting games, it's above average.

I personally don't really enjoy button mashers. The "campaign mode" is the norm for MK games. Just climb the tower.

I guess the cutscenes are kinda cool if you like MK lore.

Planetside 2 is a pretty fun game. There's just something awesome about clearing a base and moving on to the next one with a massive group of Sunderer's, tanks, ATV's and fighter jets. Some of the battles are absolutely ridiculous and the PS4 handles it really well. There is a bug with the voice chat that causes significant frame drops but once you disable the in-game chat it runs great, even in the bigger battles.

I've been enjoying Planetside 2 as well, the game looks beautiful. It's pretty much mandatory to have friends to play it with though, otherwise it gets pretty boring.

They just announced today that Rocket League will be a PS+ game next month, which is HUGE. That game is gonna have such a big player base, man I'm excited.

How does that work when a game gets free game of the month on release? How do Devs get paid?

I was gonna buy it on PC but if it's free on PS4 I'll get it there.

Also I've been playing the ever-loving shit out of Destiny after not touching it for 9 months. Man has that game gotten better (at least pre-endgame).

Guessing there is pay to win elements. Or extras only included in paid version.

They're not making it pay to win. Sony made them a huge offer, so they're gonna make quite a bit of money off of it. More than if they had sold the game for $20? Who knows, but they will still be able to sell skins and DLC stuff.

Sony pays them to put their game on PS+.

There is nothing that can be pay to win in Rocket League, all the cars are exactly the same (stat wise), the only gameplay difference between them is their hitbox. They do have car hats, antennas and different exhaust trails that can be unlocked/possibly purchased, but they don't impact gameplay at all.

You can probabaly set your calander by it. Major holiday....PSN goes down.

Did find this tweet humerous though:

#PSN is a bit like my wife. Only goes down on a special occasion.

Anyone played Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on PS4??

Thinking of picking it up...Bloodborne just didn't hit that note for me but I'm super intrigued to dive into a Souls game and give it a real go, just curious if anyone has played it and how it stacks up.

I've been playing it. It's much more defensive than Bloodborne is, and also really freaking hard.
