Am I wrong, or should we be rooting for Alex this year?

So, the Chiefs gave up their 27 this year in round one. And a hypothetically placed round one next year. Plus a third. In this one instance, we need Alex to excel as it lessens the burden on the front office for next years draft. Were the Chiefs to tank, then Buffalo could end up with the number 1 pick next year, and the first pick in the 3rd round. Whereas if the Chiefs win, Buffalo's new picks are late round or worst, 32 overall, and we bitch a little bit less about Mister Smith.

Win Win?

Spoiler!

I am mostly rooting for Alex to teach our new quarterback how to be a great quarterback and that would be the best outcome we could have for 2017 short of winning the Super Bowl

You're comparing Mahomes...to a future HOFer. Ben took over after Maddox went 6-10. Big difference in situations cupcake.

I am wrong 20x more than I'm right and I will troll this site with my uneducated football takes. Also, Sweet Daddy Hate thought Aaron Murray would overtake the starting job

youre KINDA right here about there being a big difference in the situations.

the steelers gave one number one up for ben.

we gave up 2 1's and a 3rd for mahomes, and save 17 million on the cap next year if alex is gone.

BIG DIFFERENCE IN SITUATIONS.

Stop getting ahead of yourself there bud. Until the season plays out, we have no idea what Reid and company decide on doing. But don't be surprised if we restructure him to push dead cap into 2019 with the intent on letting him leave to another team after 2018.

Alex looked dejected and sad in that video. He knows the Chiefs aren't paying him any money after this season.

I will be thrilled if Alex leads the Chiefs to a Super Bowl Championship. I will not be thrilled if they limp into the playoffs due to timely defensive turnovers.

It's like that interview captured the actual moment where Alex realized that he's simply not good enough to be a Super Bowl type QB and that even people on his side don't think he is.

It's like the moment a child realizes that Santa Claus isn't real.
