It's not like I used God's name in vain or anything...as you can see I didn't even use capital letters in the first line...boy if you think this is good, you should have seen one of the religious discussions on the old BB...some of us quoted real scriptures with football pharases...that got some us excommunicated... Furthermore I have always belived that God has a sense of humor. I also do not see anything wrong with asking God to help out your team. I personaly do not think that he would interfere because there are ussually Belivers on both sides of the ball.

Thank you Raider Hader...it's not like I blasphemed or anything...
My guess is it's better than getting on my knees and actually praying for a Chiefs win...Thy will be done...and I can take it whichever way that goes... [This message has been edited by 58Forever (edited 10-19-2000).] |

I remember a movie about WWII...the German Officer says "Sometimes I wonder whose side God is on."....then they show an Allied Officer and he says the same thing...of course The Man is on all sides...and really, a football game is probably not exactly the kind of thing that gets prayers answered...so let's pray that no one gets hurt...except Kurt Warner and Faulk and the WRs and the entire starting offense for the Rams...but only for one game, nothing serious...maybe hemmoroids or something.... 58, I really don't think that God will CAUSE the entire offense of the Rams to get hurt. But he does ALLOW things to happen to people from time to time to test them. He even allows adversity for Christians, wich is good news considering that Kurt Warner is a Christian himself. God could suddenly decide that Kurt needs to remember were his talent comes from. Here is hoping anyways!
