My vote is for the Trent Green trade... although this GM search could soon surpass that.
The process to finally trade for Trent Green seemed like a 20 year process that included all the back and forth between Dictator Carl and the Lambs. |

The entire "fix the defense" charade with Douglas, Rolle, etc. is my choice.
This Pioli thing is rapidly reaching that point however lol. |

I went straight to the GM search. This is the signing that will make our team what it is for the next 10 years or so, and the fact that they are keeping everything to just rumors and speculation is getting to everyone. If they'd just give us some updates it really wouldn't be that bad though. I guess they are building anticipation to sell more tickets once the GM is signed.

I went Hugh but this poll could change drastically by the time this GM thing is over. Although the current wait is made easier knowing it can't get worse than Carl.

There were no message boards, WWW or sports talk radio to debate that topic ad nasuem back in 1993.

I was still living in KC at the time and I remember the day the trade was announced... I was listening to a non-sports FM music station (Oldies 95 I think it was) and they broke into regular programming to announce the trade. |

This GM move is getting to me quite a bit now. At first I was thinking Clark was being prudent, taking his time to make sure and get things right. I now feel he needs needs to get it done so the organization can start laying the foundation for the upcoming season. Getting a new coaching staff, working on the direction of player personnel, draft, free agent targets, etc.

Well, since they are STILL trying to fix the defense, after spending the majority of picks and FAs on that side of the ball, it gets my vote.
I don't think many Planeteers thought the Defense would get worse under Herm, but it has. On the bright side, DBs are a source for extreme optimism IMO. Gunther should already be out of here, but I understand why he isn't. |
