No, that isn't my argument at all. My argument is that he's one of the only guys on this team who ****ing plays.

Agreed. The only guys on the front 7 we're missing are those who play a more supporting role. The Steelers had pretty terrific DEs, but nobody's making household names out of Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel.

The Chiefs' toughest pieces are in place for a 3-4. Houston, Hali, Poe (who MUST be developed as a nose tackle, because he can become a really unique player).

I do NOT want to move to a 4-3. Hali was a good 4-3 DE, but he's downright dominant in a 3-4. We have to assume that Houston can transition over, which means he might have to add weight or become reduced to a 1-dimensional speed rusher. We have to assume DJ can transition over to a Mike backer, which is going to add a whole other level of responsibility. We have NO players who can play the Sam or the Will. And at DT... we can't just have space fillers. We have to have two guys next to each other who are not only big, but quick and able to put pressure on the QB.

Reid's defense has no identity. Rather than build to a 4-3 we don't know will work, I'd much rather he flex to the talent we already have. Would be quite a thing if Ron Rivera is hired as DC and brought in to run a 3-4.

Michael Johnson is another BAMF we could bring in to play DE if we go to the 4-3. Dude is a monster and had like 12 sacks this year.

No, Tamba is the only one of the two that can play the DE position effectively in the 3-4.

Spell my name right before you address me

The point here is that these guys are running wild with assumptions, rather than statements.

Did I say Hali plays 3-4 DE or could play 3-4 DE? Quote me if I did.

Did I say the one defining measurable for a "playmaker" is his TD:TO Ratio compared to his abysmal QB? Quote me if I did.

These asshats are just reaching because they read way too far into what I said, and now they are looking foolish backpedaling because they know they bit way too hard :P

Did you miss the part where I said owned by a typo? Or do we not read posts now? That statement was applied to the change to a 4-3, not a 3-4, the typo was my mistake, but any idiot with half a brain knew exactly where my statement was going, minus the typo.

I guess this forum has far less brain power than I had imagined.

Believe it or not, saying "I wouldn't oppose it", is not the same as "I want to".
