Honestly, I have no idea. I've never tried it. In theory, I would think it would work just fine.....but you never know.

I'll have to give it a try and see.

I think you could do it provided you were signed into Live with the profile you bought all of your DLC. Otherwise you would need to transfer the licenses, but you can only do that so often.

Ok, After much deliberation I am jumping on board.

The PS3 is going to be my main system.

So I have a couple questions.

Which Xbox do I need to buy if I want to use HDMI? Does it have to be the most expensive one or can I get the 60GB?

Also, can 2 360s run on the same Router in the same household at the same time?

Please advise ASAP. I'm going to try and buy one on my lunch break.

My 60GB has HDMI. But - and I could be wrong - I believe all of them have HDMI now.

Yes, 2 360's can run through the same router. I have it set up that way in my house.

Ok, so all of them do? I'll ask the guy at the counter.

Are the lower GB ones more likely to RROD?

get the new Jasper GPU and don't think the RROD is a problem

The Xbox 360 box has a hole at the top of it where the bar code of the console is visible. Clerks usually scan this when you buy one. What you need to do it look at the lower left corner of this box. If you peer closely you can make out at least half of the voltage/amperage rating of the unit. The # of amps used by the 12 volt rail is the key to determining which console it is. The photos below show this in detail.

14.2 amps equals a Falcon unit (65nm CPU, 90nm GPU). Please keep in mind there's nothing wrong with having one of these, I play mine a lot and it's fine. You might not be able to see the whole voltage listing just through the peep-hole, but you should at least be able to see if a 14.2A or 12.1A is just to the left of the "5V".

12.1 amps equals a Jasper unit (65nm CPU, 65nm GPU). This voltage rating is also listed above the power input, but of course you can't see that when it's in the box.

Do you think they'll let me look in the hole before I buy it?

I am not certain but I think that part of the unit is actually exposed through the box.

I walked into Gamestop and said, "I'm here to join the Darkside."

And the guy said, "So you want a PS3?"

P.S. That Falcon/Jasper part wasn't visible at all, so I am praying when I go home and open it its the Jasper.

They said that it should be since its one of the new ones with the HDMI port. I also got 2 free games with it, Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda (YES!).

I also picked up Halo 3 ($34.99), Gears of War 2 ($54.99), Mass Effect ($14.99), and MLB 2K6 ($4.99). I used my Edge card to get 10% off the used games and had an extra 10% off coupon. The total was $418 and change.
