Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I think a whole bunch of the success of offensive lines relies on QB's ability to recognize things presnap and move them around effectively.

Ours sucks.

Wow.

Listening to Kevin Keitzman beat down callers that want to pass on a QB is just flat weird.

He's such a ****ing douche.

But when you listen to what's coming out of his mouth, you would swear that he's one of us in this thread.

He's been inconsistent.

Which is bad, like you say. If I remember correctly, Barry Richardson wasn't terrible in 2009/2010, he was just "inconsistent." Then 2011 sealed his fate.

I don't really care who says the message as long as it gets out.

If Knowmo were stressing the importance of us finally getting our own great QB in this division by drafting Geno Smith, I would join hands with him and sing Kumbaya.

Luckily for my entertainment, he's not saying that. I can continue to hand out negative rep to him as I please.

The dude had a terrific pass blocking rating as a rookie and he's among the top guards again this year. His run blocking has improved tremendously.

He's had a couple of bad games which of course is all that people will remember.

Allen is a concern who needs to show a lot of improvement.

yup. I'll give Allen a full 2-3 years (barring next year isn't horrifically bad). Those who think Geno is going to be eaten up by our OL due to their protection are morons. Our OL does struggle on occassion but they have largely been able to adequately protect for the last several years QBs who have no pocket presence, no ability to go through progressions, and probably more importantly, no ability to read Ds and identify hots based on the coverage. What is truly baffling is, even college programs establish in training camp what your hots are against different coverages, how your progressions are developed, etc. Then once you begin your week of preparation, you begin to isolate what hots you're going to typically see, what coverages you're going to see based on down, distance, and personnel, and how to attack it. The "gameplan" is based upon film analyzed starting as soon as the season is over for teams that don't get new Coaches (HC, OC/DC) and then subsequently as soon as those positions are hired.

Yup. I'd expect his pass blocking to be shaky as a rookie LG, especially with our QBs and OC. If he doesn't improve in the next year, you can begin to bring in another player to supplement. If he is still shitty by year 3, you move on entirely IMO.

That would seem to be a pretty good young line that could grow together. We need some depth inside still, and Stephenson is pretty good developmental guy on the outside and of course my man Mims.

Dude..my brother actually works for a living and has a great family...unlike you and I. PLEASE try not to imagine either of us in our sex lives or reproductive cycles. Please..keep masturbating onto our aunts back to ensure that YOU don't reproduce. Believe me...Domer would much rather battle you in person rather than a keyboard you keyboard hard ass. I find it humorous that you feel you can call him names behind a keyboard when you'd tinkle in your little boy pants if you met him in person. Go suck the cocks of the rest of your quoted he man club.
