You could make an argument that Andy Dalton and not Cam Newton was the best QB taken in the 2011 draft.

Andy Dalton choked big time today, I saw a bit of Matt Cassel there.

You could make an argument that Matt Cassel is HOF bound, too.

Dalton didn't have a good game today for sure, but still, he's played two years, has 7000 yards passing, 47 TD/29 INT and two playoff appearances playing in a division with Baltimore and Pittsburgh. That's pretty tough.
The Chiefs will be lucky if a QB they draft puts up similar numbers his first two years. There's more to it than that, but still he's done some positive things. |

so you're saying the first QB taken, more often than not, turns out to be the best one?
Here's to hoping we trade down and take a QB at the top of the 2nd. |

This demonstrates that skill can be used to identify the best QB in the draft (as opposed to the myth that it is a crapshoot). When you are in desperate need of a QB like the Chiefs are, and you think one QB is better than the other, you take him.

I read the KCstar article Go chiefs posted
said ANdy was a QB coach if he sees something he likes, in the later rounds, give him a shot the best part of this hiring was listening to my bosses dumbass son tell me how great it would be if Andy went to the cards and then he completely after we got him

Ouch....2007 and 2002 were truly awful QB classes...

He's had two bad playoff game performances, but his career has been more impressive than Cam Newton's thus far. |

Sure he's got more pure athletic talent, doesn't make him a better QB though....
