And you're welcome to them. I've said it before...I think the arrangement is beneficial for all parties involved. No reason to make a change. Sometimes where events happen is simply a matter of logistics.

Hell, I'd be willing to bet that even if Missouri had never been a member of the Big 12 there would have been a good chance of the Big 12 tourney being held in Kansas City, MO. I know we argue back and forth about the influence of KU in KC but lets be honest, it's huge.

They would still have got the tourney here. Look at the numbers that still are coming in even without MU's participation.

The 2012 tournament drew nearly 1,000 more fans per game than 2013 despite Missouri being the only local team in the last two games while the 2013 tournament had both KU and KSU.

I think it's great that the tournament is played at the Sprint Center. It's a great local event and makes for fun pissing matches.

Exactly. And wasn't it more fun than selling only 200 tickets to Nashville, then a week later having your pep rally in Lexington canceled for lack of attendance? Of course I credit Missouri fans for not showing to either as the team promptly lost both but still

Is that $22MM per school and then WVC and TCU only get $11MM of theirs, or is it $22MM per school because two schools only get $11MM (which would make $19.8MM/school if all distributions were equal)?

well since it's broken down by % each year, i assume that if WVC/TCU were in a full share year then everyone would get 19.8mm

grand total changes each year depending on bowls and other bonuses.

I expect the Big 12 to add move schools eventually so it might all change again by the time WVU/TCU become full money schools.

$198 million for all ten schools combined. TCU and WVU only get half shares of 11 million each. 198 minus 22 is 176. 176 divided by eight is 22. $22 million is the full share each of the other eight Big 12 teams are getting.

I'm convinced that Cincy would be there now if Louisville were available to go with them.

Fair or not, Big 12 schools with one loss are going to get bumped from a four team playoff. 12-1 with a conference championship game will trump 11-1 in the Big 12.

SEC is distributing $20.7 million per school in the fiscal year ending August of 2013. Will be interesting to see what this goes to after the network is up and running.
