I am curious to hear from those who have. Is it worth it? Not worth it? Easy, hard, time consuming etc etc.

I dunno. I have sold and bought houses without a real estate agent. I found it easy.
Most of the time when I have used agents I did most of the legwork anyway.

Yup, many times and it's real easy as long as you know what you're doing.

You are talking a major investment. I'd recommend consulting a mortgage attorney. Cheaper than a realtor, but he won't put your mirror on your car for free.
