Just got back from seeing this... woah. The last 30 minutes were ridiculously unnerving.
Horror is my bag ,but I am still spooked after seeing this.

I really liked the 1st one, I just watched the 2nd one and that sucked ass. No tension, no suspense, nothing to keep me interested. All that build up and then practically nothing.

This one had a lot of the same scares. Footsteps and scuffling throughout the house, doors slamming and loud bangs and things of that nature. I thought they did a good job of bringing in some fresh ways to keep the tension though. Particularly with the fan/camera that slowly panned across the downstairs room. You just knew some shit was going to pop off with that and it did! Holy shit, the ghost blanket thingy SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME! And the kitchen shit all falling. Plus, HOLY BALLS, the bloody mary scene. That shit was tense as hell too. Then you got to the grandma's house, which I saw coming a million miles away, but who cares. That whole scene wasn't quite as intense as the basement scene in the second movie, but close enough for me. It wasn't so much jumpy as the second movie, but much scarier in the sense that they were having the seance and the grandma kept appearing and disappearing and what not.

The people in the movie were idiots, as usual. The boyfriend was cool, very likable, and the mother was just an annoying idiot, although she was pretty damn sexy. I just couldn't believe that she kept ignoring the shit that was going down. The whole movie the boyfriend was like "Dude, there's something going on here and I've got it on film. Come watch!" and she's all like, "NO. I'm a dumb whore and I'm going to ignore all of this obviously demonic shit that's going on with my daughter!"...

Whatever, if people in scary movies were as smart as me there wouldn't be any scary movies so whatever. Pretty much my only problem with this movie was that it ended a bit abruptly. The demon broke the bf's back and they walked upstairs and it went black.. I was like "Uhhhhhh....". Maybe that's a good thing though. A good movie should leave you wanting more, I suppose.

You know, I never thought about that until after I saw the movie and checked the IMDB boards. That could possibly be a point of interest in the next movie, if they decide to go that route...

Paranormal Activity 4' Will Hit Theaters Oct. 19

The next installment in the Paramount horror franchise will open in the same pre-Halloween period as the previous 'Paranormal' films.

Unlike 2011, when Paramount faced no direct competition, there's already a horror movie set for Halloween -- Dimension Films' Halloween 3D, which is scheduled to open Oct. 26. Still, the Paranormal franchise has held up fine against competition. In both 2009 and 2010, there were Saw installments in theaters when Paranormal and Paranormal 2 were released.

The Paranormal franchise has been a sizable success for the studio and producers Jason Blum, Oren Peli and Steven Schneider (who shifted to a producer role on Paranormal 3 after executive producing the first two films). Released Oct. 21, Paranormal 3 opened to a massive $54 million in the U.S. (the top horror launch ever) and grossed $202.2 million worldwide -- besting the first two films, an unusual feat for a franchise's third outing. The projects are made on shoestring budgets; Paranormal 3 cost $5 million to produce.

The first Paranormal, which cost $15,000 to produce and opened in a limited run in September 2009, went on to gross $193.4 million worldwide. Paranormal 2 cost $3 million to produce and grossed $177.5 million worldwide.

Little is known about the fourth installment in the franchise -- no writer or director has been named. Peli was coy when asked about the project in an interview with THR in December. "We are never going to make a sequel ... just for the sake of making a sequel," Peli said, though he added: "It's safe to say there are discussions."

Just watched the 3rd movie. **** am I pissed. More than half the trailer wasn't even in the damn movie. All the scenes in the trailer would've made the movie a ton better.

I just spent the last 15 minutes yelling at DirecTV, thinking that they just showed me some shitty cut down version.

Well...that shitty, cut down version IS the final version.

The "Bloody Mary" scene? Oh it's not in there...

What about the scene where the girls are knocking on the closest and something knocks back? Oh...it's not in there?

What about this dude with the glasses? Completely cut out of the movie.

I understand that cuts are made, but why the **** would they run trailer after trailer packed full of scenes that never made the final cut??
