Dexter McCluster will have the most rec.yards of all NFL slot WR's

This guy is probably going to have 6-7 receptions a game as much as Cassel is going to check down this season.

Go Chiefs!

If Cassel is playing his best, we can go far in the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl.

See, I can do this too!

Let's not forget that Dexter hasn't been given a single chance as a returner this preseason.

The dude's value continues to plummet.

If I were to set an over/under for Dexters production I would set it at 600 yards and 4 touchdowns.
I would be excited if McCluster turned out to be this exiciting playmaker that you think he is.

But to this point, he isn't, and has done nothing to generate this belief.

He's just a guy.

He's neither exceptionally fast nor elusive, and he's not a playmaker.

No they didn't.

They had two WR with over 300 yards.

The other two were a TE and a RB.

Thanks for playing.

All of these guys could, and should, have more yards than Dexter:

Bowe
Breaston
Baldwin
Moeaki
Boss
Charles
Hillis

I'm sure Dex will have 600 yards.

Oh, my bad!

They had 2 WR's, a RB, and a TE with 300+ yards and another WR 8 yards shy of 300.

Just need Cassel to only pass for 2100 yards.

I hate seeing him back there as a return guy. Just makes me nervous he's going to fumble. As slow as Arenas is, at least he holds onto the ball and it usually takes two guys to bring him down.

dont be stupid.

We ran 987 plays last year

Lets say these are realistic expectations for the upcoming season for the distribution of the rock...

Bowe - 110 (targets)
Baldwin - 90 (targets)
Charles - 250
Hillis - 250
Moeaki - 60 (targets)
Boss - 60 (targets)

Total that up and thats only 790 plays.

Lets say our offense improves a little and we run 1050 plays...thats probably conservative being we will have Charles and Hillis extending drives.

That leaves 260 plays up in the air for

Dexter
Breaston
Droughns
Gray
Maneri
Copper

to fight over

Lets not act as if Dexter wont touch the ball a lot this year.

he will.

Sorry dude.

The logic of a #4 WR touching it that much just doesn't add up.

There's no history for it with this QB or OC.

If you can't see it, that's your problem.

You also left out Breaston in your equation.

You're also shorting Bowe on targets.

He had 130 last year, and Breaston had 96.

Baldwin should be around 100, too, if things work logically.

Dex is the odd man out because of the position he plays, and the fact he sucks with the ball in his hands compared to literally everyone else.

How many plays do you think McCluster gets a game this year? 5 a game?

Say he gets 5 plays a game. That's 80 targets. According to the numbers you posted on Bowe/Breastons targets they were successful on ~63% of them. Say Dexter is successful on 63% of the plays he gets. That's 50 catches. He'd only have to average 6 yards a catch to get 300. He's averaging 11.3 so far in Daboll's system.
