Except they have been to the last 6 NC games. You will see SEC football again very soon, I would not surprised if a SEC brand of football team plays yet again for a NC this year.

But again, you're trying to change the subject. Couldn't find an empty shot of Faurot, I guess. Darn.

BTW, how'd your bowl last year turn out? I can't recall.

Not to jump in the middle of this, although I know it will put me squarely there, but do you think that the possibility that MU typically doesn't travel well is part of the reason that MU got that bowl game?

The conferences all play such different styles that it's collision of those unique teams that brings interest. It's quite possible that an SEC team could play for the NC again this year but I'm willing to bet quite a bit that the BCS will find some way to avoid what happened last year.

They won't have a problem doing that either. USC, Oklahoma, and Oregon are just a few of the teams that appear to be poised to combat the SEC's recent dominance.

No. And the flipside of that coin is, when you watch inferior teams THAT YOUR TEAM BEAT go to better bowls year after year after year, why support a system that's so horribly broken?

We're in a conference now where this favoritism bullshit isn't a factor.

I only ask because MU has no trouble filling football home games, but struggles with basketball home games, and away games. Just thought it might be a factor.

Would you want to piss all over Christmas by going to a crappy bowl game in bumble**** Louisiana that should have gone to Iowa State?

No. Texas may very well have said "Ha ha! **** you MU! Take this shitty bowl game!", but do you honestly think the reason MU has gotten "robbed" in past bowl games as well is simply because UT had something against MU?

Yes. We didn't roll over and take it quietly.

So outside of this past year, what reason would UT have for not liking MU?

And never mind that the attendance for the Independence Bowl was 41k+ this year, or that the pic wickedson keeps trotting out is of the empty side of the stadium (the other side was fairly full).

I'll take that, for the day after Christmas, in Shreveport, LA, against a basketball school. Especially considering it was the third time Missouri had been there in the past 10 years.

The last time Missouri wasn't blatantly jumped for a bowl game, it sold out its tickets in record-setting time. We're just fine, thanks.

The four highest rated games of the season did not feature a single team outside the SEC.

We haven't rolled over and taken it quietly for several years now.

And please don't act like we're the only ones who had a problem with these ****ing clowns. A third of the original conference members are now happily members of other conferences.
