Colts | Dungy plans to address punt, kick coverage units
Tue, 2 Jan 2007 08:41:36 -0800 Phil Richards, of the Indianapolis Star, reports Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy will look to address the team's punt and kick coverage units by adding more speed. "You can look for a lot of people, DL Robert Mathis, CB Marlin Jackson, FS Bob Sanders, if he's healthy," Dungy said. "Whoever we have to put in there, we will do that. We're kicking the ball pretty well. We've got to get it covered a little bit better." The Colts rank 30th in kick coverage, allowing an average of 26 yards a return. They are 31st in punt coverage at 13.1 yards. |

So it really is all about Payton in Indy, isn't it? They suck on defense and now we see that they suck at special teams coverage as well.

Dante has played better on special teams lately. Anyone else notice it?

Dee Brown had a nice return against the Jags, I thought Jeff Webb was pretty good. I love that article it is an interesting little tid-bit. I bet Dante takes one to the House, all in favor say I.

No need to juke or Jive, When you dont have any blockers what does it matter? Just catch the ball and run up the field, hope for the best and cover your ass, its about to get trucked! |

pretty bad when your main expectations for you returner are "please catch the ball" "please don't run backward" "please don't fumble" it's like a mantra during the returns for me
