RAPOPORT: Steve Spagnuolo, Dennis Allen, John Pagano names to watch at DC
Just heard on NFL Total Access.... FWIW. https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/...864004097?s=21
Allen, the Saints DC, is a free agent for those who may read that and wonder. Last edited by pugsnotdrugs19; 01-22-2019 at 05:45 PM.. |

I think we get a little too hung up on the 34 43 stuff. They aren't sitting in that very often anyway.

We had one of the worst defenses in the league by many measures. I don't see any reason to be married to anything we did this year. We have some talented players, but I'm not interested in just trying to slap a band-aid on the defense just to get to 16th or something like we did under Vermeil.
We have a great young QB, let's try to be a legitimate top defense here and really try to create an AFC dynasty. If you're going to make any large scale changes now is the time. |

I don't think Rex is that guy. I won't be pissed if it's him, but I won't be overjoyed |

And we all see how this current crap scheme uses defensive backs but hey lets keep it the same!

Here is why, Ford is not a 4-3 DE and Houston while in Chiefs uniform has never had hand in dirt. You are talking about taking two of your top three pass rushers and wasting them. Now instead of needing DB and LB help you’ll need pass rush help too

Who says we have to lose them? I think you're losing your mind too much over this switch.

Give me someone aggressive whose scheme doesn't take three years to learn. Defense is about speed. Speed is about youth.
I wonder if switching to a 4-3 might actually benefit K-pass. Remember that turd? |

They are always available at drafting 30 in each round and the good free agents will come here for free, just to go to the Super Bowl. |

OLB switching to DE or DE to OLB doesn’t work very well. So let’s take our Strength and turn it into a weakness seems like a really dumb idea

I will be shocked if Houston and Ford are both gone.
