We had one of the worst defenses in the league by many measures. I don't see any reason to be married to anything we did this year. We have some talented players, but I'm not interested in just trying to slap a band-aid on the defense just to get to 16th or something like we did under Vermeil.

We have a great young QB, let's try to be a legitimate top defense here and really try to create an AFC dynasty. If you're going to make any large scale changes now is the time.

I disagree,

Here is why, Ford is not a 4-3 DE and Houston while in Chiefs uniform has never had hand in dirt.

You are talking about taking two of your top three pass rushers and wasting them. Now instead of needing DB and LB help you’ll need pass rush help too

Chiefs would be undefeated this season with a 16th ranked defense. They are a long way from having the talent required to be an elite defense right now.
