interesting since virtually everyone said that Barkley was the most ready out of this draft.


I'm paraphrasing ...

ESPN's Sal Paolantonio said that Philly's starting QB job is now between Vick and Noles. Matt Barkley is just not ready yet and is no longer taking reps with starting unit and will be the 3rd stringer QB going into the season.

Never totally understand why Kelly wanted Barkley in the first place? Doesn't seem like a good fit for the system. I would bet it is Vick but Foles will likely see action throughout the season.

what does being the most ready of your draft peers have to do with veteran NFL QBs?

i asked a very simple question

assuming Barkley was the 'most ready' in relation to his draft peers (i didn't say it, Laz did)...what does that have to do with unseating Micheal Vick?

answer: nothing

they are clearly separate issues...but Laz, blinded by butt hurt, conflated them...

it is hilarious how just get angrier and angrier the more people point how wrong you are about well, pretty much everything

I'd rather have Barkley with Branden Albert as my LT for the next several seasons than Eric Fisher and a pissed off Branden Albert, who plays for a different team in 2014

I cannot, for the life of me, why everyone around here is obsessed with a 28 year old average left tackle that plays for a shit team. The guy has never been under any pressure to win, his technique is awful and history proves the declining play of offensive tackles over the age of 30.

I believe is was a major mistake to draft Fisher and keep Albert, even if it's only for a year. And at this point in time, Chad Pennington's arm is stronger than Barkley's.
