Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Just watch Law Abiding Citizen. It was better than I thought it would be. I gave it 3 starts on Netflix.

Bronson was entertaining and if I could give half stars it would have been a 3.5.

My favorite Von Trier movie is Dancer in the Dark. It is incredible, but like all of his movies, incredibly painful.
I also saw Manderlay, which was the follow up to Dogville. Very similar to Dogville (with a different lead actress), but I didn't think it was as good.

Okay, make fun of the chick again, but I liked Post Grad. Chick flick. I may have already posted it, but I can't remember.

Getting ready to watch Adam. Looks like another chick flick, and it might be a tear jerker. We'll see.

I LOVED Adam. It's a romance story including a guy with Asperger Syndrome. A very realistic portrayal, and not a happily ever type of story.

I read the book. It was a very good book (one that I never would have picked up on my own, but somebody gave it to me as a gift), but **** COULD IT HAVE BEEN ANY MORE DEPRESSING??????

I think I'd slit my wrists if I had to relive that story again.

Watched DeNiro's most recent: Everybody's Fine. Here he was exceptional. Movies can strike a heavy chord with us when they reach familiar territory, and here was my situation.

Sad story but the movie was really good. I hear the movie is very close to the book.

The movie follows the book fairly close. However it didn't spend as much time as I would have liked developing the close friendship between Amir and Hassan. Or Amir's self perceived inability to live up to his fathers standards.
