No. Only the Pats run a predominantly open pass offense, and they only did it once they acquired Randy Moss. They're also able to pull it off because they have an all-time great QB and a terrific o-line.

There's nothing similar to what the Patriots do and what Hawaii does. The Patriots run actual plays, usually in 3 receiver sets. Hawaii has their own receivers run different routes according to the coverage being played at the line. It's a gimmick offense and requires very little skill at all when it comes to reading a defense. It's all just quick reads.

Brennan wouldn't know the first thing about reading a defense from under center and you can only imagine how ineffective he'd be when he'd only have two receivers in a route.

That call is going to cost UW this game. I understand, put yourself in a position to not be affected. UW had plenty of chances, but they are a young football team, that is trying to refind lost glory. It just got stolen from them. Winning this game would've went A LONG way to helping them in recruiting. Bullshit.
