Chiefs could steal one Sunday at Indy...

The Colts are reeling.
  • Manning throws 6 INTs.
  • Vinatieri misses 2 chip shots including the game winner.
  • Indy was missing 2 OTs as well as Clark and Harrison.
  • They started Craphonso Thorpe, which tells you how depleted the receiver corps is.
  • Indy's STs gave up 2 TDs.
  • We hung tough with them last year at home allowing only 23 points and that was before we had Boone and Harris and Donnie.
  • Last year we just banged LJ into 9 man fronts for 3 quarters with the R2P2 offense. This year we have walking miracle Priest Holmes.
  • Last year we had a diminished Trent Green at QB.
  • This year we have a guy they have very little game tape on and probably not much of a scouting report.
  • Freeny is out.
  • Ty Law will study Manning's spoon-feeding of his inexperienced receivers and continue to haunt him.
This could be a trap game for the Colts.
While I don't predict a KC road win, this is not going to be a walk in the park for Indy.

IMHO, it is far from "really doable" - it's more like remotely possible.

I guarantee you the Chiefs lose. No way the second best team and defending super bowl champions are going to drop three straight, and lose at home to the freaking chiefs. Not gonna happen

Nothing would warm my heart more than to take one from Indy by surprise this weekend. No other team in the league has stabbed us in the heart in the last decade as bad as the Colts. Even the Donks we at least beat from time to time, but Indy has done everything imaginable to trip up KC in the most despicible ways that can be done. And it's mostly been in playoff situations in front of a national audience.

Peyton WON'T have nearly as bad a game as that SD game, and Vinatieri PROBABLY won't miss any kicks. IF KC wants to have a chance to win this game, they will have to have a near-flawless game in all 3 aspects. If we can't do it against the Donks AT HOME, it seems like a reach to say we could do it IN Indy... but every game is different.

Brodie Croyle has a real chance here to PROVE he's the guy... While I EXPECT him to throw at least 3 picks, I'd love to see him torch these guys and give us some MOMENTUM going into the home-stretch.
