Getting a passport
I'm getting a passport. Do I need the card and the book? Is the book just for stamping? Would the card be enough for me to travel with?

Yes, I'm researching it. I just know there are several people here who travel abroad, so I thought I'd pick your brains, too.

Mine was pretty quick - about 4 weeks I think. That was a renewal, but not sure if that really makes much of a difference.

we get passports for guys going to China every few months. Takes about 3-5 weeks.

I got mine about 3 years ago. They were advertising 4-6 weeks wait time and I got it in 2 weeks.
