Do you think LJ will get hurt this year?
Seems alot of people think he is headed for an injury given the workload last season. I for one think he is indestructible, which is obviously absurd, but that is me. He HAS taken some nasty hits and gone down akwardly at times without missing so much as a quarter. I think he will be fine.

Late in the first game of the season, Larry will bullrush 4 defenders on a goalline play and get dinged up, forcing him to leave for the rest of the game.

The guys he ran into will miss the rest of the season.

416 was pretty pathetic last year.. Especially for a team that got spanked in the playoffs.

Not much choice, Bennett was always hurt, Ross fumbled... No LT so you couldnt pass....

could of ran sneaks to the Mighty Huard all day, but he fumbled way to much as well...

I honestly don't think so, and I don't think it's homerism.

I think it's the fact that he proved extreme durability last year. He got up immediately after that nastiest of hits and didn't miss a single week when he got his head ripped off.

I think the entire line of thinking that a running back gets "worn down" with a high volume of carries in absence of injury is entirely hog wash. Tailbacks don't wear down with carries alone, they wear down with injuries and age. A lot of times offensive lines regress over the years and that also gives the appearance that a guy is getting worn down.

One guy might get 50 carries and end up injured and be more "worn down" than the guy who carries the ball 700 times and stays healthy. Barry Sanders carried the ball over 3000 times over a 10 year span and didn't appear to have lost anything at the end.

I would worry more about the possible regression of the Offensive line, young QB and conservative offensive play calling causing a drop in his stats than I would his high volume of carries.
