****Official AFC NFC Championship games****

Not likeing the AFC teams, but got to love the fact that the Broncos choked away the opportunity to play this day.

Am picking Ravens Falcons Super Bowl

That's the matchup I picked at the beginning of the season.

and if the 49ers are favored...and it will be by 3 or less

everyone will load up on the Pats and I bet Vegas doesn't shift the line

I know Vegas will like San Fran. They represent a really, really, really bad matchup for the Patriots (as evidenced at Foxboro a few weeks back)

No way. NE is a public team. I'd bet it's NE -2.

You throw out the rule of thumb in that situation.

San Francisco has never lost a Super Bowl. I hope that streak continues.

I'll admit that these playoffs are making a fool of me. I've been whining all season that the NFL is nothing but a quarterback derby any more, and the team with the best quarterback wins. Nearly every playoff game has been won by the team with the weaker quarterback.

The owner would be looked at as a nut if he demanded that a change occur, but I don't think that team can win it all as constructed. This year was a perfect storm of down years and great luck and it still wasn't enough.

They actually need to fire Smith and make significant investment in the front seven, because Dimitroff's defensive picks have underwhelmed significantly.
I agree with a lot of this BUT they were a trip away from being in position to win the NFC Championship game.

you simply can't make that change...you can hope that Mike Smith grows some balls, though.

I mean, did anyone really think the game was over after they went up 17-0?

I know I didn't.
