Chiefs Going to the CHIEFS / TEXANS Game!

Just scored some very good seats for the Chiefs /Texans game! Haven't been to a Chiefs game in person since before the ARROWHEAD rennovations so I'm looking forward to checking it out. I usually just fly in the evening before and stay at a hotel by ARROWHEAD and walk over or catchthe shuttle to the stadium. Not much to do on that end of town except go to a game. This time I was thinking about changing it up a bit because I'll be arriviving on 10/18 and will be staying through 10/21 so maybe a hotel near the Plaza. Anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate it!

What are you wanting to be closer to? Shopping? Plaza. Entertainment? P&L.

- How good are these "very good seats"?

- Do you want Plaza area or downtown by Power and Light district?

If my friend joins me - the Plaza. If my GF joins me - Shopping.

40 -yard line 20 rows up lower section on the Isle.

A decent hotel - nothing TOO FANCY, but it doesn't really matter. Would have to be more decent if my GF comes with me. Could just be very average if my buddy joins me. The Plaza would be preferred.

Me too, we got tickets to a box our company attorney's have. Should be very swanky. Free booze and food I am told.

Hotel in either area will be pricey. KC is a hard town to just "park and walk" in. I've always found the best bang for your buck is in the OP area. You can always drive and park at the Plaza for the day. It's free anyway. And it doesn't take long to get to Downtown KC or the Plaza from OP (in my experience). Or there are some nice areas just north of KC by the airport (I think...never stayed up there).

Good hotels downtown:
The Phillips
The President
The Muehlbach

The only hotels right by Arrowhead are a Drury Inn, Holiday Inn and The old Adam's Mark, not even sure what it's called now. There's a Red Roof and a Best Western at I-70 and Noland Road in Independence. All hotels on the Plaza are expensive.

I'd start looking now. I was going to recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Westport for your boys as you're within staggering distance from many bars/restaurants, but they don't have rooms available that weekend.

Sounds good, don't want to stay up by the airport but the OP area will work. And honestly, the Plaza area will also.
