Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

A guy is offering me $350 for my Norinco SKS, matching #'s, folding stock, original wood stock, 10 rnd, 20, 30, rnd mag and 390 rnds Russian steel ammo. Does that seem low? I'm wanting $425 for it.

I will only sell a gun if my family is going hungry.

It's the first rifle I ever bought. I'm just cringing at the thought of dropping $220 for a spam can for the ak74.

That does seem a little low. You'd probably get more money if you returned it to its original configuration, and sold the ammo separately.

But if it were me, I wouldn't sell it. If the Democrats ever get a gun control bill passed, the SKS would most certainly be on the list of banned "assault weapons." That would greatly increase its value. One lesson I learned during this panic is that you never get rid of anything that could possibly be banned. Plus, it would make a great SHTF rifle.

The other day dad brought up his .45 ACP that was manufactured late in WWII. It was awesome to shoot and I have to admit I had to wonder how absolutely terrifying it might have been to have to use it in close combat.

That's a valid point. My wife usually makes me sell one to get one. This time she told me it was okay to keep it.

How many different calibers do you guys have? I have 8 as soon as the ak gets in. Only like to focus my ammo purchases on the 9mm, 45, 5.56 and now 5.45.

Meh, if it came to that my soul would be sold before any gun.

My guns are chambered in:

.22LR
9mm
5.45 x 39
7.62 x 39
7.62 x 54R

I've got a small stash of .40 S&W and .45 ACP since I plan on eventually getting pistols chambered in those calibers.
