Josey was Jamaal Charles 2.0 before his knee injury. He might not be the same kind of player now, but he'll be pretty damned close. Moreover, he's shown an improved ability to break tackles, and he does all of the little things well.

RB's may drop, but he's a day two pick if his knee checks out.

He had several pressures in the first quarter Saturday from a bull rush IIRC. Seemed to me he was definitely avoiding the rip for a while.

Edit: I'll probably be a sadistic bastard and re-watch the game tomorrow in A22. Ugh.

Sam is a situational pass rusher in the pros who could end up being one of the most important athletes in sports history.

I think he's Jamaal now. Then again, I think Jamaal has lost a step or more in terms of top end speed.

I've heard this rumor several different places, but I've never heard it from anyone "in the know", and I have a couple of pretty good sources as close friends. How sure are you?

I lack inside sources other than current Mizzou students, and I don't believe any have very close ties to the athletic dept, so I'd imagine that the people you know are far more reliable than my hearsay.

A lot of isolated pockets of smoke, but they could all have the same point of origin.

If he's a Day 2 pick, he certainly should go.

If they tell him he's a Day 3 pick and needs to show more ability to be a 3rd down back (catching the ball, blocking, etc) or that he needs to come back and get stronger, he might be wise to come back a year.

Big difference between being a Day 2 and Day 3 guy. But that's the beauty of the NFL draft process. He'll get some honest answers and respond accordingly.

Fox Sports has had the Cotton Bowl replay on 2 times now that I have caught....still as much fun to watch as when it was in real time.

And screw any whiners who want to say that the pass interference call was a gift. If you watch the replay he was mugged by the guy who eventually intercepted the pass.

Besides....even if it hadn't been, I could care less. We are MU, the university known for

1) The 5th Down
2) The Kicked Touchdown
3) Tyus Edney

It's about time karma would attempt to level the score.

Yeah I figured it was a decent call. We also had to get 3 obvious catches called catches by the review too, so the refs weren't just handing us the game the whole time.

And FWIW, Mike Perrreira thought it was the right call.

The only people not agreeing with it are Okie State fans and KU fans who wanted to see us fail.

One particularly great aspect of this season/Cotton Bowl win has been the coverage in St. Louis. For a town that hasn't always cared for Mizzou, the articles lately have been outstanding.

Other outlets have carried nice stories as well.

This team ought to be #4 in the final poll.

Nobody I know is saying it isn't true...just that the don't know that it is. If it is true, it's remarkable what a non issue it is. That could be the bigger story...that it's a non story. Unfortunately, that will never be the narrative.

MU #5 in the AP and USA Today polls just behind South Carolina.....do they post a final BCS Poll? If so, then depending on how the computers like MU they could actually swap places with South Carolina in the BCS poll.

Either way...a nice finish to a good season.
