Your preferred playoff opponents

I'll list them in tiers:

New England or Houston as the likely #2/#3 seeds in the AFC Championship Game

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or San Di - er, Los Angeles Clippers in the Divisional Game

Miami, Indianapolis, or Tennessee as an upset wildcard winner.

Denver, Cleveland, or Cincinnati as a fluke playoff team.

Poll arriving slower than a Tyreek go route, but faster than an Andy Reid timeout call.

Edit: what the heck, I'll add the NFC teams that are still in contention, too.

As long as the last one is an NFC team, I don't care

I think we'd lose more often than we'd win: Patriots

We'd beat them about 60% of the time: Steelers, Chargers

We'd beat them 75% of the time: Ravens, Texans

We'd almost certainly beat them every single time: Titans, Broncos, Dolphins

My approach to this poll was to pick the worst QB from each group.

Patriots have been beatable on the road in the playoffs. I think every single time they've gone to the Super Bowl they've had homefield in the AFC title game. I feel like the Steelers and Ravens just seem to be bad matchups for us.

The other team I'd worry about is the Colts, just because they're the Colts. That game would probably be another race to 50 points.

That was kind of my pattern as well, though I didn't realize it until I was done.

I think it's a sound strategy.

AFCCGs in 2001 & 2004 were won by Pats on Heinz Field.

In the AFC, Group 2 is by far the most difficult for us.

That wasn't true during the early SB runs (def. won the AFCCG in 2001 and I think again in one of 2003 or 2004) but it has been true ever since.
