FFLquestion

I'm sure everyone is probably getting tired of FFL questions by now, but I could use a few good takes.

I have been offered Ladainian Tomlinson for Edgerrin James and Santana Moss. I have Derrick Mason, and Eric Moulds that I could use as My second reciever, and my RB's right now, are Edge, Willie Parker, Corey Dillon, Deuce McAllister, and Joseph Addai.

Should I go for it?

What? Hell No!

You're solid at RB already, and weak at WR. Sure Tomlinson is an upgrade over Edge, but you lose your best WR in an already weak WR corps.

It's making yourself really bad at WR to get only a little better at RB. You should at least be getting another WR out of the deal.

FWIW: They did a thing on ESPN concerning WR's a dn FFL drafts....

I think it's rule #4... WR's are WR's are WR's. Meaning outside of the top 3... They're all basically the same.

HELL LYES!

Regardless of Edge, he's giving up the only good WR he has.

Between all those RBs he has, he'll end up with at least two solid starters. Banking on Mason and Moulds at WR is crazy.

Sorry, I didn't explain very well. I meant to say that Mason and Moulds would fill in at my #2 WR spot, I have Chris Chambers as my #1. Does that change your mind?

Thanks guys.

That changes things a bit, but I still am not sure I'd do it.

I really think you have a solid RB group. You're bound to get a few good starters from that group. I'm just not sure you need to weaken another area of your team to improve an area that doesn't need improvement.

Tough call.

If you look at Moss' point breakdown last year.
He had 5 big-huge games.
Others were very avg.

He only scored in 6 games last year (>8 pts).
(Obviously NOT scoring in 10).

He had 6 100 yard games.

Basically he was a HUGE make or break WR... Mostly breaks.

Entire month of Nov. 1 TD - no game over 79 yds.
December - 1st 3 weeks, no TD's & no game over 73 yds.
Last week of Dec, 160yds & 3TD's.
January - 1st 2 weeks... 83yds & 18 yds with 0 TD's.
last game of season 103 yds & 1TD.

That's 2 mos with only one game where's he's done anything.
Vastly overrated. - JMHO.

There's no way in hell I don't make that trade.

It's still the best WR he has, and he still has to start two WRs.

Based on standard scoring from last year, the difference between Moss and Derrick Mason was 91 points for the season. Whereas the difference between Edge and LT was only 54 points.

So he'd get 50 points better at RB while getting 90 points worse at WR. (yes I know, this is all based off last year's numbers).

I'm not saying it's a horrible trade (now that I know he has Chambers) but it's not exactly a no-brainer to accept either IMO.

Well even IF you look at last year. Edge had Manning.

Now he has a HORRIBLE Oline.
I'm just not sold on Edge and would take others over him that others think shouldn't be taken over him.

He can always pick a WR off the waiver... They come a dime a dozen. Moss's overrated stock is just too high IMO. I'd rather have a solid 10-13 pts weekely than waiting 2 mos for a breakout game.

**** yes...

You will more then solidify your RB's, and then if you happen to fall a little bit with your WR's you can trade one of your backups...

In standard scoring you will be better off with LT then edge and moss, especially with Rivers going to use LT as more of a checkoff when he is in trouble...
