My point being is, tick for tack. Its like comparing apples to oranges... We are all pissed that he cost us those 2 games, but theres no reason for alot of people to be acting the way they are. Its like they found a moment to criticize (rightfully) but its just un-conversational and biased at best.

You're nuts.

He scored 21 points in 5 quarters. He played like dog shit the majority of the game.

Great, so you've confirmed that KC could still be trotting out Cassel and you would still be defending that decision. Because Chiefs.

No, I wouldn't praise/expect anything. Cassel had his shot.

It was the defense's fault.

Look, the whole team is suspect after that Titans game. But, there is no denying that Smith has lost a step this year. Guys his age don't get better. He's not a fine wine, he's a NFL quarterback. He's turning to vinegar. Need a change at the position. I hope he can go out on a good note this year, play the way we have seen him play when he's on his game. If he plays AT HIS BEST, we have a shot. But if he plays the way he has all too often this year, we're one and done in the playoffs.

I like the guy, I really do. I think he's a quality individual, he knows the game and doesn't *typically* make mistakes. But he's prone to it, more this year than any year since he's been a Chief. I don't care about stats, I'm talking about the eye test. He's not the guy he was last season. Guys his age don't improve.

Dump the vinegar and get another QB...

I am disappointed in reid because I thought smith was just a stop gap to respectability while he would draft a qb. They haven't invested serious draft picks on a qb yet .
