And this is why Trump did not bring his wave

About 60 million people turned out to vote for Democrats for the House this year. That is a **crazy** number. (Republicans got 45m votes in the 2010 wave.)

And this was sort of missed. Why so many stories about Trump voters in truck stops and not so many about "the resistance"?

Strange - it's almost like many of the vote tallies are skewed.

The strangest thing about Democrats taking back the House in such dramatic fashion is that in poll after poll, voters OPPOSE their policies by large majorities.

That bill mitchell tweet is hilariously wrong.

For example, look at where liberal ideas like medicaid expansion, marijuana decriminalization, and voting rights were on the ballot.

There had been more Ds registered to vote than Rs prior to the mid-term. On top of that Steyer, another socialist billionaire, boasted of his massive new voter registration drive of student youths. Early voting reports said these dominated early voting. I saw footage of long lines of students at some polling places—namely in AZ.

Who knows what these students get told as a sales pitch to get them to register to vote.

It has nothing to do with Rs not turning out—they did turn out. Rs just didn't do a mass youth voter registration drive. As far as I know, I've never heard of Rs doing that.

All this, plus evidence of election fraud, which is mostly an inside job.

Well he did lose some of them—but not all of them. Certainly lost Indies due to his belligerent FP.

People forget, though, this this was a very typical midterm, where the opposite party of a sitting president usually gains seats. It was a mixed result, no where near the numbers of seats lost by Obama. That the Rs held the Senate was historically significant — though more Ds Senators had to face re-election. Other than holding the Senate, there's really nothing new here—except for gloating leftists.

Just wait. If white Obama runs in 2020, its over for Trump.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...primary-995353

"Sparked by his narrow defeat in a Texas Senate race, Beto O’Rourke is scrambling the 2020 presidential primary field, freezing Democratic donors and potential campaign staffers in place as they await word of his plans.

Even prior to O’Rourke’s meteoric rise, many Democratic fundraisers had approached the large number of 2020 contenders with apprehension, fearful of committing early to one candidate. But the prospect of a presidential bid by O’Rourke, whose charismatic Senate candidacy captured the party’s imagination, has suddenly rewired the race.

O’Rourke — who raised a stunning $38 million in the third quarter of his race — is widely considered capable of raising millions of dollars quickly, according to interviews with multiple Democratic money bundlers and strategists, catapulting him into the upper echelons of the 2020 campaign."
