Tyler Bray is showing something

He obviously has the strongest arm of anyone in camp. He's not as consistent as Alex Smith but when he makes a big-time throw you start to imagine what could be.

I'm just tired of having to wait on all our first round picks to "develop" when teams all around the league get difference makers that perform early on. I want/hope fisher to be dominant from game 1 on.
O linemen some times take time. Not that they went number one, but Anthony Davis went 11, and he took two years to come around.

Michael Oher, was supposed to be god, and he hasn't performed.

It just takes a little bit of time. Joe Thomas, struggled his first game, and his first camp, but he came around. Jake Long was dominant from the word go, but, he got hurt. Eric Will be fine. Just people shouldn't freak out if he gives up a few sacks early. Gonna happen. Alex Smith does like to take the sack.

No one should be making excuses for Fisher. He was the number one overall pick in the draft.

Expectations are high.

Offensive linemen drafted #1 should not "take time". They should hit the field running.

(And struggling now doesn't mean the Fisher won't. Way too premature to panic....)

As long as they are "designed sacks" it's OK.

Go Alex!

If he truly has injured fingers, "struggling" against Hali and Houston early is not a bad thing.

Struggling without injured fingers against Hali and Houston wouldn't bother me. They're both better than anyone he's ever played against in his life.

Struggling against Tyson Jackson gives me more pause. But then again, he might be better than anyone Fisher's faced, as well.

This is how you learn...

I agree 100%.

He needs to be at least an average to above average tackle from day 1.

Who's arguing the poster now?

No where did I say that he should be that out of the gate. By year 3, sure.

My biggest fear with Fisher is that they're stunting his development at left tackle.

Now, those fears may be completely unfounded but as far as I can remember, this is the first time since the common draft that a player has been selected to play a position with the intent to move him to another position at some point in time.
