Finally got around to the final two episodes. More than anything I was fascinated with the emphasis on facial texture. Even went as far as to emphasize a zit on Olivia's cheek. The boy was like a human orange. Broyles was leathery, every crack and crease in Walter's face was emphasized. Pacey had a shaving scar. Everyone's facial flaws were exposed. Dunno if it was a function of HDTV, or a purposeful decision, but it was explicit.

Getting ready to watch the final season tonight.

Really didn't like how they introduced the new (Bell is God) storyline before fully explaining wtf was going on with Peter/altered timeline. How can he both be in the right timeline but at the same time the timeline is changed? He died but is still there? I never really felt that was explored/explained enough.

A few time travel issues (like in the White Orchid episode) still trouble me but all in all I've enjoyed this more than X-Files. I hope it goes out on a high note...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Every time I hear talk about time issues I think of Star Trek First Contact.

This isn't the time to talk about time. We simply don't have the time.

Ok, so 3/4ths the way through season 5 and I'm not happy.

By the way, nice Matrix rip off there in the middle. Complete with the words "meaning" and "purpose" and "destiny" as well as the judo punch to the chest of the "Agent" (I mean, Observer) right before we go to Neo-future-vision.

****. Really?

This show was better than this.

I thought...

The last season was disappointing. Last seasons are sometimes. Let me know when you finish so I don't ruin any spoilers for you.

Ok, as a whole the final season wasn't bad. One episode was a clear Matrix rip off in numerous scenes.

Spoiler!

I thought the finale would be Walter waking up in a mental hospital, coming off a 5 year LSD binge, and the whole show was just a dream. Liv was a nurse, Peter was his doctor, Broyles was an orderly.........etc. just my two cents. Enjoyed the daughter this season. Like to see her naked.

Has JJ Abrams and friends -ever- produced a series that ended well? Or has any network scifi show in recent history?

I wouldn't say it was a bad ending or poor episode but there was so much thought that went into this series and the main part of "the plan" depended on time travel and they completely ****ed up some basic logic.

Not physics or theory or anything - basic ****ing logic...

Ok, got my dad hooked on it now after NETFLIX.

Now that I know there's an "observer" even if I'm bored with a bland episode I find myself looking for that.

2nd time around I still love this series. Walter might be the best TV character in 20 years. I'd say that easy.

Walter finds one thing or one way per episode to remind you how life is wonderful and underappreciated .

He's such a magnificent b@st@rd...

In my opinion the last season was ****ing horrible. When they told us that Walter had planted multiple videotapes and that they had to find each videotape in order to figure out how to save the world, I thought I was watching a show written by a kindergartner. The best thing about the early seasons was the interaction with the parallel universe, and that was all flushed down the toilet until the last couple of episodes.

The only good thing was that the last couple of episodes were 1000 times better than everything else in the final season. I almost quit watching halfway through the season, and the abomination that was the last season killed any interest I have in watching Fringe reruns on the Science channel.

Compared to Fringe's last season, the final season of Lost was a masterpiece. At least Lost kept you hooked right up until the very end before it left you bitterly disappointed.

I will never understand the reason behind the "mission" of the last season.

That said it was fun to watch them use all the "toys" from all the prior seasons...

I just finished watching the first 4 seasons of this show with my wife on Netflix and I wasn't sure if or when season 5 would be available. Turns out, it's available on Netflix streaming starting tomorrow, Sept. 12, 2013, in case anyone else wants to rewatch or catch up on it.

The "mission" was to get to 100 episodes so that it could go into syndication.

The showrunners clearly didn't care about the quality of the show.

It was all about the green.

Struggling to remember how this one ended. Enjoyed it, but it seems like a distant memory, indeed.
