This was against the Houston Oilers who were led by Warren Moon. Since then, the Oilers moved to Tennessee, gutted their team, and rebuilt with a young, talented head coach, great drafting, and playmaking QB and RB. Last year, they went to the Super Bowl and are one of the favorites to return this year. Ironically, the Chiefs havent won a playoff game since then and have that same QB from the Oilers as their number one back up.

Many of you are thankful that the Chiefs "have a chance" every year and support the band aid - FA castoff approach that Peterson uses. But as Houston/Tenn and many others have proven, you can rebuild quickly as long as you are committed to it and have the proper leadership in place.

Peterson must go!

That is truly sickening!

The problem is that Peterson is under Lamar's desk 24-7, [probably why our draft picks are always late to training camp] and Lamar loves those Peterson hummers. So Peterson being replaced is a long shot. It won't happen until the fans stop showing up and hopefully that will be this year.

Cannibal,

Check out the Bills and their roster. 40 players drafted or signed as rookie free agents. They cut the cord with over the hill, overpaid vets, and drafted wisely. And they developed and played those draft picks. They are a completely different team than the one that beat the Chiefs in the AFC championship game. They are a damn good team. I rant and rave about Peterson because there are many examples of turning over a team and being competitive and having a realistic chance at the Super Bowl. Some of these fans are happy with mediocrity because "we have a chance". Well the chance is very slim and getting more slim every year. I wish more Chief fans would realize this and run Peterson and co. out of town.

Kphobia,

I know, many Chief fans are unaware of what goes on throughout the rest of the league.

The Chiefs haven't had a "chance" since 97.

Packfan,

It took Tennesse 5 years to rebuild to anything more than a 500 team. That is not a very good example.

Ken,

Your Buffalo example is poor because they follow the Peterson methodology to rebuild. Using a combination of draft picks, free agents and keeping a core of veterans as they retool. This is a really poor choice. If you compare our roster to 97 I think you will find a similar number of different players as what you site. You may not enjoy this, you may say in your opinion our choices were not as good as Buffalo's but you cannot say it is the philosophy that is the difference.

Tennesse and Indy are good examples of your point but they took about 5 years each to reach playoff level. That is a long time. When you praise Buffalo you make an argument for Peterson's method.

I SURE am glad Ken found his way over here to enlighten us on the evils of CP.

Now how exactly can we, the fans, run CP out of town? I know what you'll say. Quit buying the tickets. Well, some may wish to do that, but I don't intend to give up my seats I have had since before Peterson was here and will still have loooong after he's gone.

Hey Ken, I asked you this on the other board a few months ago, but you never answered.

Exactly WHY does a GB fan hate CP so much? I mean, why do you care one way or the other? Sure, he's inept, but it's not hurting YOUR team any, so why do you care?

I'm not attacking you, I'm legitimately curious as to why you hate the man so much....

Eh? I've been lurking around since January, and I've never heard any reasons as to WHY Ken hates him so much. Did CP steal his girlfriend or something?

I don't get it either, but I know I've heard the exact same thing from him over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for more than a year now.

He kinda puts the Energizer Bunny to shame.

He put a new twist in it this time. He's never thrown out supporting evidence in the form of other teams as examples. I'm quite proud of his research. This time he didn't cut & paste from his archives.
