Just saw them with Jane's Addiction a couple of weeks ago. With no Matt Cameron on the drums, was a big disappointment. Corrnell still has the pipes though.

Had Loud as Love and Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge before Nirvana even came out.

Warning NSFW language and if you know why, you know, . . . man.

Truthfully, I got way way way more into the Sum41, Blink 182, mid-Beastie Boys, Cake, POTUSA, Everclear scene, . . . except Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam has been day and date purchase every time. And when Vintage Vinyl had a sweepstakes for 100 copies of Band authorized Chicago soldier field bootleg [later got a wide release, like 5 years later], I went every day to and from class and filled out a form. Won 4 of those 100 copies. Give one to GF, one to Sis and one to best friend.

Then again, Radiohead changed things as much as anyone for me.

Have you heard of Easy Star Allstars? They take whole classic albums and reimagine them in reggae. Very cool they've done Dark Side othe Moon, Thriller, Sgt Peppers, and a very cool one of Radiohead. It's called Radiodread. The cover of Exit Muisic (for a film) with vocal by reggae legend Sugar Minot. It is beyond haunting! I can't post it from my phone, but I you get a chance check it out!

No offence, but I'm kind of immune to reggae. If I'm actually on a beach in a hammock with a beer, and it's playing somewhere in the background, it's fine. But in the midwest, and having never imbibed the ganja, no need. No hate, just no need.

Regrettably, I imbibe the bomb bud all the time and still don't really get into reggae. It's fun and relaxing, but just not something I could sit and listen to all the time.

I think people perception of reggae is somewhat based on Bob Marley. There are lots of bands who infuse reggae into every genre imaginable. Not trying to away you, just telling you there's lots more to reggae than the roots your maybe thinking of. If you dig the Sum 41 type music then maybe Ballyhoo! is the band you might wanna check out. Kinda a cross between Sublime and Green Day.
