Oh wait, there's more.

Andy Reid himself already had Donovan McNabb (the second overall pick) and not only spent a high second (that was a first before trading down) round pick on Kolb to be a backup/eventual successor, but also went out and signed Mike Vick.

Then, once he moved Kolb for a profit and got a second for McNabb...he gave Mike Vick a 109 million dollar deal and went right out and drafted ANOTHER QUARTERBACK in the third round.

....

Then we have Dorsey..a guy that had Favre and scouted and recommended Rodgers...a quarterback that had the tools, but because of scheme in college, had a long learning curve to get to start in the NFL.

Sound familiar?

Shit, thinking about it, one of the reasons Dorsey gave as a point against the quarterback class was "scheme flaws" he could very well have been talking about Geno with that one, meaning that his might have an equally long learning curve to Aaron Rodgers.

I fully understand that I am grasping at any shred of hope here, but everything I've brought up is plausible.

So fellas, when the Alex Smith trade news happened, I really wasn't getting about this being my Götterdämmerung. I set fire to the thing. Completely.

I'm casually browsing the back pages hoping that somebody quoted the OP once, but I'm not finding anything.

If not, I might need some help. I can't remember who it was that had the website of all the Geno gifs, but I'll need that URL back for people.

I'll get around to editing and writing a new OP sometime later this week if the original is indeed lost due to my violent rage quit a few days ago.

This deal aint done yet. Lets put two and two together: Its very simple; WHICH position on this team has such a negative rating in terms of talent and depth, and its not even ****ing close? Add to this Boss's very insightful breakdown on Dorsey/Smith, and its an absolute ****ing no-brainer. And furthermore, the percieved( or in most cases acknowledged and accepted) LACK of game-changing talent OUTSIDE of the QB position combined with the deflation-value of the one/one makes this the simplest goddamn draft equation for KC to come down the pike since Alex Smith Fan learned he could use one hand to squeeze the balls while using the other to stroke the shaft. Geno or Matt; welcome home!

That OP was different from the new one. In the new one, I took out the gifs in spoiler tags and replaced it with the archive of Geno gifs from... I want to say Wild Turkey but I don't know if that's the right guy. Maybe WV? I also wrote a new intro for the new era of Geno leading up to the draft. That is now gone. Lastly, I linked the "Goin to Kansas City" Geno highlight video, but that can easily be found.

I'll fix up the OP in a few days. In the meantime, there's the original from the old thread.

Fescoe just NAILED the 1st round QB argument. Almost like he read it from here. He said draft one in the 1st round, or don't draft one at all.

I agree to a certain degree. Now if they like Glennon, Wilson or Bray or even Manuel better than Geno or Barkley. They can get them later if we got lucky and got another rd 2 pick
