We don't get together enough which is something that ZachKC and I intend to remedy. I am calling for a happy hour meeting on Friday October 1st at the Twilight Inn. This meeting will have two goals:

1. Fun, frivality and friendship.

2. We need to talk about an exciting charitable opportunity which would benefit area youth.

I hope to see you there but if you can't make it and still have interest in goal number 2 drop me a PM.

Twilight Inn haven’t thought of that place in years, is the Cat and Fiddle still around?
I’m sure the blues joints down on Commercial street are closed, on the east end was the Buffalo Bar and I can’t remember the dive at the west end, but they used to pack in some good bands.

For goodness sakes. Haven't you heard? The C&F got shut down last week due to some building regulation reason or something. The more things change, the more they change.

Cat and the Fiddle got condemned last week. Looks like it's going under the wrecking ball. The Buffalo Bar and Lindburghs are both done as well. The Twilight had actually closed and been renamed but someone recently bought the building and has brought it back.

BTW, I'm assuming you were talking about Lindburgh's when you mentioned Blues bars on Commercial. I actually got to see Matt "Guitar" Murphy play there. First blues act I had ever seen.

Lindburghs that's the name, just could not pull it up.

So they finally condemned the Cat and Fiddle, hell that should have been done a long time ago.

Talk about a blast from the past, I was in Jeff City this past week with the KC HBA trying to override the dip shit ex-govs veto of the right to repair bill and was really surprised to see the name Norma Champion listed as a Senator (or is she a rep).
Good god that woman was a flake when I lived there how the hell did she get elected, is the bible thumper population exploding?

Yea that was the place, I also saw Murphy there in addition to a lot of others such as Gatemouth. That was really a great place.
