I hope you're right. Do you send it off to some place in Texas? I live in Texas so that should speed it up if that's the case.

Okay, well, my 360 is now talking back to me.

Every disc, whether it be a game or a DVD makes a pretty crazy noise everytime I shut the tray. It's like, spinning violently. Nothing has happened to my 360 or anything. What should I do? Should I be worried?

Mine's been doing that for a year. The DVD drive is failing. Of course, I never got a chance for mine to fail, because the GPU failed first...

Well, mine did it for a year and never did fail, so I guess that means there IS hope.

If it turns on at all, force that bitch into a red ring. Do the towel trick, and eventually it will overheat and redring. lol I would have just told MS that it red ringed. They get so many i doubt they even check.

Yeah, and then they send me a refurb unit and I have the DRM problem anyway.

I did not have any issues that your linked thread is talking about. I got the RROD and sent my xbox(the one that came without a HD) in 2 weeks ago. They sent me back a brand new one, and I am able to play all of my content just fine. I just went and checked what would happen if I play offline, and sure enough I can play my Gauntlet game from the xbox arcade offline just fine.

Yeah, apparently they've come up with a way to transfer DRM licenses, which they are doing for SOME replacements. It seems to be hit and miss.

Mine does the same. Sometimes the disc comes loose and the game won't read. It sucks.
