Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Nice score. even better,No through safety bolt.
This was the first rifle I ever bought with my own hard earned cash. Matter of fact I had to hand over my money to Bugeater & he had to buy it because I wasn't 18 yet.

Now get your CCW license so you don't have to wait next time.
I was talking with the guys behind the gun counter about that today.

Guess it isn't always a 100% sure thing since they have still seen some guys with CCW's have to wait for hours to clear.

I do plan to get my CCW just because it should help either way you look at it.

Nice lever action, corn fed chief !

Would love to have a lever action for my collection one of these days.

Not sure which caliber I would go for.

That one looks like a beaut.

Based on your chins, you could probably strap a bazooka to your cankle and nobody would notice.

Yeah - that's probably my next purchase. Added a pretty badass tactical 12 gauge to my cabinet last week. I think the flashlight is the best feature. It burns my hand.

I've never heard of that. Everyone I know, and myself included, have been in and out of the store in a half hour. When I bought my S&W .500, it was an impulse purchase while getting my fishing license, it made me a whole 5 minutes late meeting Bwana to go ATVing. I suppose crazy looking people might get a second look from a retailer.

Good luck on the CCW!

I think the crazy delays are mostly due to the amount of gunshows going on right now along with the overall hysteria created by the gungrabbin' media.

I have seen my background checks get progressively longer with each purchase over the past months.

Ruger 10/22 takedown - Nov/2012 - 15-20 min.
Sig 556R - Dec/2012 - 30 min. (just after CT shooting)
Ruger SR9C - Dec/2012 - 45 min (just afrer CT shooting)
Bushmaster AR15 - Jan/2013 - hour and a half
Colt 6920 LE lower - Feb/2013 - 2 hours (FFL shipment)
Sig P226 Tacops - Feb/2013 - 2 and a half hours
S&W 1911 .45 - Mar/2013 - 8 hours?

That's nice. I have a Winchester model 94 in 30/30. Great brush gun.

Yeah. My major problem is that the longer I spend in the damn store the more shit I end up buying.

I impulsed on a complete Eotech setup for the AR, ammo for the .45 and a little Walther P22 with laser.

Nice stuff but it's almost like cash... It's not like you were blowing money on stupid shit with nothing to show for it, if you ever get in a bind for cash you can always get some

True. Best way to justify the habit is to consider it "an investment".

At least that is what I keep telling my fiance.
