Bro, my alma mater hasn't had a 9 win season IN MY LIFETIME. They haven't appeared in the postseason, and they've only had one winning conference record. I'll say it again: you are spoiled. You support a program in a major conference that regularly makes postseason appearances AND JUST FINISHED IN THE TOP FIVE.

I wasn't happy with him either but as long as Alden is AD nothing will change. I'm willing to give him another chance after last year but if the bottom drops again he needs to go.

Just sick of Pinkel. Sorry I'm not sorry. Gave up on him last offseason when he hired another coordinator from within his program. He never tries to get better. He runs the same system every year, no fullback, no scholarship kicker, spread offense even when we have pro style qb's. I admire Pinkel for what he's done but if we ever want to actually win the sec were gonna need to move on at some point and just say thanks for laying the foundation. We'll have a real coach take it from here

You were a quarter away last year. I don't know what to tell you. In the long term, I think it will be difficult to be national contenders in a division with three top 15 all-time programs. Maybe you need a Derek Dooley or Mike Shula to see the light...

You're not watching Mizzou very closely if you didn't notice the changes to the offense that Josh Henson made last year.

Did you happen to watch last year? Have you seen our recruiting THIS year? In a "what have you done for me lately" sport, Pinkel is doing very, very well.

That's easier said than done (finding the real coach to take it from here).

I was as critical as anyone leading up to last season, especially after the hire of Josh Henson.

I DESTROYED Pinkel for hiring Henson internally and hiring his nephew onto staff.

Since that point, the internal, questionable hire at OC (Henson) turned out to be a superstar who made the Missouri spread more physical, as so many had been begging for years to happen, while also improving the passing game.

If you think the offensive system they're running now is the same as it has been since they gone to the spread, you're crazy.

The splits are tighter. The running plays are entirely different. The blocking scheme is different. Heck, even the depth at whch the QB takes shotgun snaps changed.

Henson made massive overhauls.

And as for Alex Grinch, the aforementioned nephew... he has been THE key cog in getting Missouri into the action in Georgia recruiting. Missouri is in great shape for a bunch of talent in Georgia, and that's Grinch leading the charge.

Criticizing Pinkel for not having a scholarship kicker is pretty funny considering the long run of general success they've had there (And that no one in D1 uses a schollie on a kicker out of HS). Same with FB.

Pinkel was in trouble entering the 2013 season. His team answered basically every bell.

Again, did you watch the team last year? Our offense got much better. The system was most assuredly NOT the same. His recent hires/promotions have paid huge dividends (see Grinch recruiting in the SE and Henson being an incredible OC)

Every single commit this year has mentioned the stability of the Missouri staff, especially Pinkel's contract extension, as one of the reasons for choosing MU. What kind of stupid does it take to suggest that we fire him just so we can start over?

While I think he probably deserved to be gone, with all his recent trouble and this, I have to think some of this was that he was used as an example.

With all the problems lately in como, a small part of this May have been to show everyone that no one is above the law

Very valid points all around. Guess I just have that scorned attitude. I still kind of feel like last year we got a little bit lucky with the injury bug around the sec east. Then again 2012 was the exact opposite. Still hate Pinkel, but it's probably not fair at this point so I'll shut up. I still hope he proves me wrong soon and I'll gladly eat crow, but I just feel like hell never get us over that hump.
