KSU vs Alabama for Natl Champion - Who wins?

After watching KSU last night and granted it was against an overrated sports media hyped WVU team that has a Def ranked 115, however Geno is not overrated, he just can't do it all. KSU's game all around was just phenomenal and especially their D that I believe is just as good as Alabama.

Who wins this potential Natl Championship game?

You are hilarious in this thread.
SOME pollsters will do whatever they want. A one loss any SEC team will not play over an undefeated K-state. They could play each other, or neither could play, but not a one loss SEC team over an undefeated K-state.

Edit-I should say it shouldn't happen.

A 1-loss Florida or Bama team could easily get the #2 spot over KSU in the final poll. If you don't think it could happen you haven't been watching college football.

I'm not saying I favor it, I'm pointing out the facts. It's one of the reasons the play off system gained traction.

I'm not saying it's right. I have no love for Oregon or the Pac 12.

There has been a rash of Snyder fluff pieces coming out. If the Cats continue to win they will continue to be written, and even taped and shown on ESPN. The publicity will come with with continued success. America loves an underdog. What bigger underdog than Snyder and EMAW nation?

Also a possible factor to consider: while the participants for the title game will be decided before the Heisman is handed out, if it looks like Klien probably has it wrapped up at that point it could sway some voters. It's all about the ratings. And what better than the Heisman winner going up against the Tide's defense?

This true. But because they are heartless assholes ratings and the stories that drive them are what they care about. I see this as a win for EMAW. And as you said earlier in this thread, EMAW always wins in the end.

I'm sure lots of KSU fans feel the same way you do. There are other market segments who may not feel KSU represents the best opportunity for maximum ratings.

Regardless, KSU is having a nice run and I'd be enjoying the hell out of it if I were a KSU fan.

I know they could, which is why I had to add the "shouldn't happen." A one loss Florida could, one loss Oregon no, and a one loss Alabama, actually I think not. Especially because that loss likely occurs in the SEC title game. And because of all the power teams in the SEC, Alabama has the easiest schedule and is no more difficult than what KSU would have played. BCS teams typically get rewarded for going undefeated.

That's my approach. We've been here before, but it's still rare to be this high (and who knows if/when it will happen again). When we were in this boat in 1998, I didn't necessarily enjoy it. Every weekend was pure stress, with a win only bringing relief....not so much happiness. This season, I'm just enjoying watching this team. If we lose, so be it. Won't change my enjoyment or pride in their performance. There are other pretty good teams out there, and the Cats could lose any of their remaining games if things don't fall right.
