Country Club Plaza = Bannister Mall part 2?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - More than 100 teens converged on the Country Club Plaza Saturday night and created a ruckus for patrons and a lot of work for Kansas City police officers.

Stories like those about the plaza have been rolling in for the last year or longer. At one point there was a shooting and they have put a curfew in place


I remember years ago bannister mall area was thriving. Hypermart and all the other surrounding stores were very popular and always busy. Crime slowly strangled the area and people chose to go elsewhere. The whole place turned into a ghost town. Obviously Cerner is building there now but the question I pose is simple

There are a lot of options other than the plaza around KC so...

Will the Plaza die the same way the Bannister area did?

Westport is the ****ing shit. Buzzard Beach is awesome for counter culture to the max...misfits, deep bowie cuts, johnny hates jazz, so counter culture you can take a shit on the floor and people are like...yeah anarchy bitch..plus free popcorn..

Kelly's is a mainstay of westport. It is huge and has ok pizza in the back. Lots of sluts that won't **** me or you, but fun to look at. The outside deck upstairs is a delight.

Riot room has hip hop, hardcore, punk, techno shows. ACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT HOLY SHIT WHAT A IDEA.

Beer Kitchen...classy...mid to upscale diner...hot gash serving and hanging around


*BREAKS OUT GLOW STICKS* The union smells like piss and there is techno EDM always thumping. Good DJ's that don't play shit like "TO THE WINDOW TO THE WALL YING YANG TWINS" It is still a good bar dance place to go to if you want to do drugs and dance all night, or if you want to dance all night to either an indian in a dress or a black guy doing the robot.

Foundry is hipster applebees....also stole the facebook symbol.

Mccoys has good food and beers.

also there are 2 good coffee shops in the era, broad street cafe and westport whatever the **** down the street.

PIANO BAR IS A PILE OF SHIT MOVING ON THX.

That "Eat me" place looks good

Tons of Meat trucks some of whitch will be used in Twisted Metal 5 (Not true at all)

The last time I went to Westport I witnessed several fights including 2 girls fighting over a urinal in the mens restroom in Buzzards Beach. Bouncers were somewhat active. It's been 3 or 4 years ago. Also.. in the time I have lived here I have only driven through the plaza, never stopped and bought anything.

Indoor malls are pretty blah. They remind me of the 90's. If physical retail locations like that survive in the coming years, they will probably be like Branson Landing.
