Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I almost forgot to post a pic of my "new" gun.

Its a WWII-era 1943 Mosin Nagant, sitting next to a crate of Russian surplus ammo.

I haven't had a chance to test her out yet. That will most likely happen next weekend.

don't sell it, that's too low for an SKS IMHO.

Their going for around $350 on gunbroker, without the ammo. 390 rounds of ammo should be worth $100.

I am about to buy 2 1080 rnd cans of 5.45x39mm ammo $418. It will be almost impossible to explain that purchase to my wife. $800 gun and $418 worth in ammo.

How many different calibers do you guys have? I have 8 as soon as the ak gets in. Only like to focus my ammo purchases on the 9mm, 45, 5.56 and now 5.45.
I have:
17 HMR
22LR
38 SPL
357 Mag
9mm
45 ACP
223/5.56
30 carbine
6.5 Swede
7.5 Swiss
7.62x54r

I reload all of those calibers except the rimfires and 7.62x54r. I also load 40 S&W.

Nope, you're OK!
I'd be a little concerned if there was a 30mm or 105 recoilless in your list!

Is that Beowolf the conversion upper for the AR platform? If so how do you like it?

Cabela's in KC has a ton of ammo in stock. They've got .22, plus all pistol and rifle calibers.

I grabbed some 100-round value packs of American Eagle 9mm, and a 100-pack of CCI .22LR.

Well I have inert dummy A10 rounds does that count??

The Beowulf looks cool but I haven't shot it yet, I got the parts to build it just before the panic so I haven't picked up any ammo yet. I built it because I want to do a 3-gun course with a shirt that says....'Nothing smaller than a .50'
